What Should Your Website Have
Your website is your organization's face to the public. It must be informative, and the content must change often. Since an interesting website is your strongest and most economical Recruitment & Retention tool, your website should include information that will capture imagination and move prospects onto your site's next pages. Your website should also include a Member's Only section that is password protected. This will be your Content Management tool that stores the documents your members need to access. When justifying a website, recruiting new members, retaining existing members and content management, is where the savings come from. Direct costs such as, advertising for new members, copier machine supplies and maintenance, outside printing costs can be saved. Indirectly, member's morale, training, schedules, calendar, links, knowledge about the latest versions of your organization's procedures, and much more, are all stored in one place.
A well designed website should Include:
- Home Page (see content)
- About Us (see content )
- Join Today (see content)
- Photo Gallery (see samples)
- Member Only Section (see content)
- Contact Us (see content)
Example: The GRVAC website that incorporates these suggestions. (See GRVAC website)
