In Loving Memory.
Members of the GRVAC are saddened by the loss of our brother, David Behar on October 30. Dave joined the squad in 1976, a few years after he moved to Glen Rock. After his retirement in 2002 from Western Electric, Dave increased his volunteer time with the GRVAC by responding to many day calls in addition to his regular Monday night shift. “Covering day calls is the most difficult problem facing most ambulance corps and the GRVAC was fortunate to have someone like Dave Behar, who was retired and was willing to respond,” said GRVAC Chief Ed Esposito. Dave held the office of GRVAC President, President of the 20th District of the New Jersey State First Aid Council, and was the GRVAC’s Delegate to this organization for 20 years. He retired from the squad a few years ago but remained in touch with many of the members. Serving others was always in Dave's blood....as boy scout when he was young and later serving his country in the United States Army as a Specialist Fourth Class stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, from 1963 to 1965. Afterwards, he served four years as a Sergeant in the Army Reserves. Dave leaves behind his wife, Susan, three daughters and five grandchildren. |

Larry White, May He Rest In Peace (posted 5/16/2017)
It is with deep sadness that the 20th District announces the passing of Larry White. Larry passed away at his home He was a long time member of the Waldwick VAC and served as Treasurer and delegate for many years. Larry held the position of Secretary for the 20th District since 2000. Among his many duties, Larry was instrumental in inspecting 20th District rigs for the past 17 years; along with his wife Mary and their “puppies”. Larry was also Secretary for the S. Carol White EMS Academy. |

It is with much sadness that the 20th District reports the sudden passing of Laura Andras, mother of Laurie Wiseman this morning (Sunday). Please keep Laura Andras and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Our sympathies go out to all.The obituary follows:
Laura Andras (nee Frasca), of Paramus, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016. She was a member of the Paramus Women's Club. Laura was also a parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church in Paramus and a member of their Rosary Society.
Beloved wife of the late David Andras (2009) . Loving mother of Laura Wiseman and her husband David and Lynn Garlasco and her husband John. Cherished grandmother of Kimberly, John Jr., James, Jacquelyn, Casey and Carley and great-grandmother of Matthew.

Lenny Baum, Long Time Member Of The Oakland FAS Will Be Sadly Missed.
It is with deep regrets the Oakland FAS informs you of the passing of Lenny Baum, long time member of the Oakland First Aid Squad. Lenny passed away on April 18th at the Holland Christian Home in North Haledon, N.J. Lenny joined our squad in 1962 after being on the Allendale Squad for 8 years. He served the squad in many capacities, Chief Training Instructor for over 10 years, Chaplin, By-Laws, Chair of Membership, Oxygen and Parliamentarian. However, Lenny is best known as an American Red Cross Train the Trainor in Advanced First Aid and CPR. Instructors across the state will attest that his classes were held at the highest level and he expected only the best to teach his First Aid/CPR classes. In 2004 Lenny was presented with a 50 year pin from the New Jersey First Aid Council.
