You have encountered an uninjured healthy child at the scene of an injured/ill patient. There are no alternate vehicles at the scene equipped with an appropriate Child Restraint System. Since, that ideal is not an option, what is the correct option should you consider?

• a rear-facing CRS in the front seat of the rig.
• a size appropriate CRS in the front seat, pushed all the way back, and with airbags off if possible.
• a rear-facing CRS in the rear-facing captain's chair.
• holding the child on a side bench in the rear of the ambulance.
