EMT Commitments
As a member of Sample Ambulance Corps you will need to adhere to these commitments:
- All members volunteer for one (X amount) shift each week.
- All members will volunteer for (X amount) weekend shift every month.
- Each month, members choose their next month's weekend duty assignment on a signup sheet to avoid conflicts with their personal time.
- Weekday Day Shifts are (Times)
- Weekday Night Shifts are (Times)
- Weekend Day Shifts are (Times)
- Weekend Night Shifts are (Times)
- Youth squad members fill shifts after school, until 10 pm and can ride all night on weekends with their parents' permission.
- During an assigned shift, members are requested to stay in town to ensure quick response.
- Each member is assigned a radio pager that will alert them to respond to a call.
- You are free to do what you need in town until an alert sounds on your radio pager.
- All members are requested to keep their pagers on while in town to respond to calls that require a second ambulance, or calls that require more than one crew.
- Training Drills are scheduled on the 2 Tuesday of each month starting at 7:30pm.
- Business Meetings are scheduled on the 3 Tuesday of each month starting at 7:30pm.
- Committee participation such as: Officers, House, Social, Recruitment, Computer, etc.
- Recertify every 3 years by attending continuing education and refresher training programs as required by the NJDOH.
- Fire standby calls.
- Mass Casualty Incidents.
- Mutual aid calls.
